Little Greene launches new paint technology

With a 'groundbreaking paint technology', Little Greene has upgraded the formulation of its Intelligent Paints with a number of unique paint properties. According to the paint manufacturer, this innovation will revolutionise the industry. The eco-friendly 'Intelligent' finishes, available in a full range of gloss levels, from completely matte to high gloss, are praised by homeowners, designers, and professional decorators. The finishes can now be applied directly from the tin to almost any surface in the home and will adhere seamlessly, without the need for a separate primer. Little Greene reports.

The innovation
What's unique is that each finish, as a true multi-surface paint, confidently adheres to all common substrates in the home: wood and plaster, but also metal (including radiators), plastic, PVC, melamine, Formica® and even tiles and glass. The adhesion of the Intelligent Grip™ technology does not require significant surface preparation; only old oil-based gloss needs to be lightly sanded to ensure a first-class adhesion and finish. All other surfaces only need to be smooth, clean, and dry for a stunning result with the 'single-tin' Intelligent Paint finish.

All Intelligent Paint finishes are available in all shades of the Little Greene colour palette. So, there are virtually no barriers to providing all the spaces in your home with beautiful colours. The Intelligent Grip™ technology simplifies the decorating process and makes it more economical, reduces paint waste, and offers interior designers new ways to embrace colour.

A significant step forward
Ruth Mottershead, Creative Director of Little Greene, explains: "Now that you are no longer limited in the choice of a specific finish and now surfaces, traditionally 'unpaintable', are indeed paintable, we have taken a significant step forward in the creative process of designing and decorating with colour.

Little Greene is a family business, and it has always been in our company culture to continue to innovate, whether it's exploring and developing trends in colours and patterns, finding new ways to reduce waste, like our Re:mix collection, or embracing advanced technology in the laboratory to give our paints better performance.

Minimal preparation time, shorter drying times, and less cleaning time all contribute to a highly efficient process. We've eliminated the annoyance of sanding and separate primers and with just one tin there's less waste, both in packaging and leftover paint."
