Pedrali Colours of Lightness shines at Salone del Mobile

Pedrali, Italian manufacturer of contemporary design furniture for contract and residential, will take part from 16 to 21 April in the 62nd Salone del Mobile.Milano. On its 35th participation, the brand is set to unveil eleven new collections for indoor and outdoor spaces, including brand-new collections and extensions of existing collections. These creations are the result of internal research & development and collaborations with international renowed designers.

A family business story that began 61 years ago, allowing Pedrali to develop a 100% Made in Italy philosophy, expressed in its control over the entire production chain within the Headquarters in Mornico al Serio (Bergamo) and the wooden furniture manufacturing in Manzano (Udine).

Pedrali collections are placed on raised platforms made of raw birchwood, recreating various indoor and outdoor settings. In order to guide visitors through an engaging and multisensory journey, a selection of chairs is also placed on the ground to be touched and tested. The landscape design integrates seamlessly and harmoniously, with nature taking centre stage in all installations, defined by shades of colour of different seasons. Delicate ground plants define the outdoor area, while hanging plant compositions create an almost surreal atmosphere within the indoor spaces.

The company's unique Milan Design Week display, #PedraliColoursofLightness, invites people to discover worlds where every nuance tells a story and every moment is a revelation. The journey is a promenade that winds through seven settings, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a sunny day, moving from the cool tones of early morning to the warm tones typical of sunset. Within each set, the artistic world is emphasized by paintings and canvases that highlight the colours, as true art installations.

One of the highlights on display is 'Narì', designed by Andrea Pedrali. This is an outdoor armchair which will be presented for the first time at the Milan design showcase. It was selected in 2023 by ADI Design Index and is competing for Targa Giovani, which will be awarded in 2024 on the occasion of the Compasso d'Oro ADI.

Anemos is a table characterised by simple and architectural shapes. Its distinctive feature is the base, composed by two separate concrete shells secured to the top. Like a structural membrane, these elements free themselves from their image of intrinsic weight and, through a double curvature, take on a flexible and sinuous shape. The result is a table that seems sculpted by the wind, visually light yet stable and solid due to its significant weight, capable of supporting large tops.

These are just some of the highlights of the showcase which utilises the fullness of light, texture, line and colour.
