Hulasol is a Belgian design brand that is gradually conquering the world. With its first product, the Hulasol Faro, it actually introduced a new category of outdoor furniture: the combination of a lamp and umbrella - a unique concept. It's incomparable to the classic umbrellas that exist today. Hulasol is both an art and design object as well as a technical marvel. Its aerodynamic shape and sturdy base ensure astonishing wind stability. The opening and closing mechanism is anything but traditional and truly a showstopper. Moreover, its round open shape and closed organic form make it a real eye-catcher on any patio.
This year, Hulasol is taking it a step further. It's making its international debut at the world's largest design and furniture fair, Salone del Mobile in Milan, taking place from April 16 to 21, 2024. With its own stand and a stunning setting from the get-go, it invites everyone to come and admire the Hulasol Faro and the new Hulasol Arc in person. It's a significant step in Hulasol's growth story to have its own stand alongside the world's most renowned manufacturers. This is where the crème de la crème of the professional design world, our target audience, comes together. We've long dreamed of participating in this fair as most inquiries and interest come from abroad today. We see Salone del Mobile as an international springboard and also as a milestone in the growth and credibility of Hulasol as a brand. The fair's organisation is very selective, so it's a great honour to secure a good spot here as a newcomer.
Materials
Hulasol consists of a combination of high-quality polyester textile on the bottom and acrylic textile on the top. Both fabrics excel in ease of maintenance, UV resistance, and light permeability. We offer standard 4 different textile combinations (the top cloth is available in 4 different colours: white, graphite, taupe, or burgundy, while the bottom cloth is always white).
The LED lighting is available in warm white or coloured (RGBW). The light can be controlled via a smartphone app (Casambi Bluetooth). We also offer customers two options, one being a battery that allows the lamp to function completely standalone, without cables on the patio. Alternatively, there is also the option of an LED driver + cable, when electricity is available.
The pole and base are made of stainless steel and metallised steel, available in matte white and matte black powder coating, but any RAL colour is possible upon request.
International awards
In 2021, Hulasol was awarded one of the oldest and most prestigious design awards in the world, the Good Design award in Chicago. In 2022, Hulasol received the Red Dot, Best of the Best award. In 2023, Hulasol added the Archiproducts design award to its trophy cabinet.
