For S-CAB, Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024 marks the beginning of a year full of new developments

From the design in 2023 of the Brezza seat, which marks the beginning of S-CAB's collaboration with Alessandro Stabile, comes an extended family that will be presented at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024 and that includes a lounge armchair and a two-seater sofa characterised by the same production system of the original. The cushions, easily removable, embrace and attach to the frame without the need for glue, buttons, zippers, or Velcro, in the name of circularity.

Completing the collection, allowing the configuration of outdoor lounges, is a low coffee table characterised by two large slats of concrete or HPL. It is a high-end collection, highly versatile thanks to the mix of materials, colours, and finishes for an intimate and cosy environment. Designed with respect to the company's philosophy, focused on production sustainability, and that of the designer, according to which innovation, ethics, and elegance must coexist in every good contemporary project. Their ecological sensitivity guided Brezza in the choice of fabrics with recycled yarn, reinforced this year with the proposal of two new variants born from post-consumer recycled materials, combined with pre-consumer industrial waste.

The Brezza collection consists of: chair, lounge armchair, two-seater sofa, and coffee table.

Another expansion of solutions also for the FLAP sofa designed by Meneghello Paolelli in 2023, the first collection of modular upholstered furniture where the seating elements combine in a composition with support surfaces. In April 2024, S-CAB's modular system is enriched with modules that complete the proposal with chaise longue elements (right and left), armchair, and pouf. Flap thus becomes a true system, suitable for spaces of different sizes, comfortable, adaptable to both residential and contract solutions.

The structure, minimalist in style, has elements fixed in the backrest that recall in shape the flaps of aeroplanes. This creates a movable backrest that rests on the tubular structure and that can rotate on the axis about 15 degrees, allowing the rear support cushion to have different inclinations to achieve the best possible comfort level.

The frame, with the support of the flaps, seems to wrap around the line of cushions that define the perimeter of the upholstery, generating a continuous contrast between the softness and 'fullness' of the padding and the lightness and 'emptiness' of the structure that envelops it.

The system consists of eight modules that allow you to obtain many compositions.

Salone del Mobile.Milano 2024 is also an opportunity for S-CAB to continue its virtuous path of rebranding initiated in 2021, defining the new communication paradigms. Luisa Battaglia, Art Director and co-owner with her sister Francesca, to strengthen the brand's identity, expands it to include the strategic creative consultancy from Alessandro Stabile. This is in the intention to make the values of history, production capacity, inclusivity, and sustainability even more crystal clear and explicit. A vision that also passes through the unprecedented collaboration with international names such as Francesca Lanzavecchia, Spalvieri & Del Ciotto studio, and Ionna Vautrin, who designed products with great personality that were executed with technical mastery, as only S-CAB could do, drawing on its almost 70 years of experience in materials processing.
