Moratorium requested for Dutch devision of Wesco

Naber GmbH, a supplier of kitchen accessories based in Nordhorn, Germany, acquired the Wesco brand earlier this year after it went bankrupt. Now, it appears that Wesco's Dutch branch is facing financial difficulties. The Rotterdam court has declared Wesco International B.V. in a state of suspension of payments. Matthijs van der Laarse has been appointed as the administrator. The creditors' meeting is scheduled for August 6.

Wesco, primarily known for its waste bins and bread boxes, as well as kitchen accessories and outdoor kitchens, encountered problems in 2023. This was partly due to rising material and energy costs as a result of the war in Ukraine, which could not be fully passed on to consumers. This resulted in a sales decline that the company could not overcome.
