Porada's Twenty-Four collection to move from Milan to New York

'Objects must keep you company,' says Achille Castiglioni, inviting design enthusiasts to always keep in mind the unknown audience who will make use of the design object.

This is how Porada has always interpreted its idea of 'making furniture', thinking of the home of those who will house that furniture. This is why the company saw Salone del Mobile 2024 as the perfect opportunity to present its elegant, welcoming and functional home.

In an environment characterised by rooms with scenographic backdrops, textile and metal, the stand at the Milan expo exhibited the new pieces of the Twenty-Four collection. This collection is the result of the creativity of a consolidated team of international designers.

The Twenty-Four collection has been developed in continuity with past collections. In keeping with Porada's signature style, its inspiration comes from the culture and tradition of Italian bourgeois furniture from the 1970s - using their shapes, silhouettes and colours. The 2024 colour palette is enriched with rust, green and navy blue, with new iridescent fabrics.

One of the new design features for 2024 is the Fortyfive mirror series. The 45-degree cut in the edges - which gives the project its name - creates a unique 'continuity' effect and allows the light to strike the mirror surface at different angles, creating a strong contrast of light and shadow that gives it a strong, rigorous appearance.

Then there's the chaise longue Twilli - a sinuous and ergonomic wooden structure that becomes the undisputed star of the product, on which a soft upholstery with headrest cushion rests.

The company is now preparing to inaugurate a single-brand showroom in New York, scheduled for the end of 2024, where the Twenty-Four collection will find a new home.
