At the turn of the year, wf Rational Küchen (Linden, Germany), successor company to the Rational Einbauküchen Solutions, which unfortunately went into insolvency in 2022, joined the Data Competence Center (Herford, Germany). Rational was one of the founding members of DCC in 1998, has been using its services for many years, and actively participates in its committees.

This is exactly what the newly founded "wf Rational Küchen " wants to build on, which belongs to the IBP Group based in the United Kingdom. The "wf" in the company name refers to Walter Fischer – founder of Rational and a visionary of the kitchen furniture industry. The new company initially focuses on its traditional export markets, the UK and China, with distribution in the USA set to start with the first showroom in Atlanta.
For the companies involved in the Data Competence Center as well as DCC Managing Director Dr. Olaf Plümer and his team led by Anika Degenhard, this commitment is a visible sign and a clear commitment: 'We are aware of the reasons that led to the unfortunate insolvency at Rational and are all the more pleased that the company is back on track. The swift re-entry despite numerous other challenges in restarting clearly demonstrates how important an independent, cross-company data standardiser and communicator is to the active players in our industry.'
