Eisenkolb and Sieval join forces

The Dutch companies Eisenkolb and Sieval have entered into an extensive collaboration. Both Eisenkolb and Sieval have curtain ateliers as their customer base and complement each other seamlessly.

Sieval is a software company with specialised software within the curtain, window decoration, and flooring industries. Especially Decoloop CPQ (WoonTotaal) and Decoloop Production have proven to be valuable software programs within the interior industry. With now over 6,500 retailers and approximately 45 partners (fabric suppliers, curtain workshops, and indoor sun protection manufacturers), Sieval automates a large part of the interior industry in the Netherlands and beyond.

International growth
'The next step is international growth,' says Lennert Advocaat, CEO of Sieval. 'Our software is already used by retailers in about 25 countries, but our partners are mainly from the Netherlands, Belgium, Scandinavia, and Germany. We want to change that. A collaboration with Eisenkolb can take us further. Their expertise in curtain tailoring and their global reach are unparalleled.'

Machine integration
Eisenkolb develops and manufactures machines and consumables such as the Microflex curtain hook, for the production of soft and hard window coverings. With locations in the Netherlands and America and customers in more than 50 countries, it is an undisputed market leader. Eisenkolb offers production concepts for curtains (pleated curtains, pinch pleat curtains, ring curtains, roman blinds, panel curtains, and roller blinds). 'The collaboration with Sieval is unique. In the entire world, there is no other software company in our industry that has so much domain knowledge and specialised software,' states Hans Vernooij, CEO of Eisenkolb. 'By working with Sieval, we can seamlessly integrate our machines into the entire production process within the curtain workshop, achieving higher efficiency.'

Connections
That is exactly where the collaboration begins. Eisenkolb and Sieval will ensure that standardised connections are made between Decoloop Production and the Eisenkolb machines, so curtain ateliers can directly control the various machines from the Decoloop Production or the workshop order. The first connection between Decoloop and the ATS and AGA has been made and announced at the R+T fair in Stuttgart last week. It is also being investigated whether malfunctions and maintenance of the machines can be better monitored. This way, action can be taken more quickly to prevent breakdowns and downtime.

All in all, developments that will greatly benefit the curtain atelier. 'We should have thought of this sooner,' say Hans and Lennert with a smile.
