Luxury New Zealand appliance brand Fisher & Paykel opens its first Experience Centre in Europe

Luxury New Zealand appliance brand Fisher & Paykel opens its experience centre on Wigmore Street, London.

Fisher & Paykel's Chief Operating Officer for UK, Ireland & Europe, Stephen Rickersey, announced the upcoming opening of the first Fisher & Paykel Experience Centre in Europe, located in London at 98 Wigmore Street. This centre aims to bolster the brand's presence in the UK market and beyond, offering immersive experiences that showcase the essence of Fisher & Paykel. Designed collaboratively by Brinkworth, bespoke cabinet maker Jacob Alexander, Fisher & Paykel's experience design team, and Alt Group, the centre is part of the company's global rollout of experience centres.

The London Experience Centre embodies Fisher & Paykel's "Designed in New Zealand" ethos, emphasising meaningful architectural connections to place and respect for culture, history, and materials. Brinkworth's design integrates elm, Portland stone, and deep brown glazed tiles, reflecting London's green spaces, grand buildings, and waterway networks.

Key spaces include a Minimal Kitchen and Apartment Kitchen, showcasing integrated appliances and luxury regardless of size, as well as Fabric Care Solutions, demonstrating tailored fabric care. At the heart of the centre is The Social Kitchen, featuring a dining space for ten and hosting Mastery of Temperature culinary experiences led by in-house chefs, highlighting Fisher & Paykel's food care and cooking approach.

Every aspect of the London Experience Centre is meticulously crafted to resonate with Fisher & Paykel's identity, from the offering of kawakawa tea upon entry to the sculptural stair descent into a luxurious vaulted space. Notably, guests are greeted by a sculpture by Michael Parekōwhai, a prominent New Zealand artist. Fisher & Paykel is currently accepting bookings for culinary experiences and guided tours ahead of the centre's full opening in early 2024.
