The opening took place on site last week, together with the entire project team. During that moment, they reflected on the design process and the cooperation between the parties involved. A short speech marked the completion of this project phase and explained the vision behind the new interior concept.
The project is part of a wider revamp of Lounge 2 at Schiphol, focusing on comfort, appearance and user experience. The seating arrangements are designed to offer travellers a pleasant and functional living space within the dynamics of the airport.
Several specialists collaborated on the project. ISSOS was responsible for the interior design, while Deerns acted as installation consultant. The furniture infill was provided by Vitra, with lighting by Flos and AndLight. The flooring systems were provided by Duracryl Global Flooring.
According to Beyond Space, which initiated and coordinated the project, more details on the further roll-out and backgrounds of the design will follow later. The completion of this phase marks an important step in the modernisation of Schiphol Lounge 2.
