A new impact study shows that the Romanian furniture, architecture, and design industries together generated more than 9.9 billion lei in taxes and levies in 2024, accounting for 1.9% of government revenues. The total contribution to Romania's GDP was 2.74%, confirming the strategic role of this industrial and creative ecosystem. The study was conducted on behalf of the Association of Romanian Furniture Manufacturers (APMR) and the Romanian Association for Design and Innovation (ARDI) and highlights the strategic importance of these sectors.

The furniture production and trade sector remains one of the largest contributors to Romanian manufacturing, generating a total fiscal impact of 7.7 billion lei in 2024. However, the sector faces significant challenges: a 16% decline in sales volume, a 15% drop in the number of employees, and a fall in profitability to 3.6%.
