Molteni&C opens new Flagship in Munich

Molteni&C has officially opened its new Flagship Store in Munich, further strengthening its footprint in the European interior design market. Situated in the historic Promenadeplatz, the new space is a partnership with Neue Werkstätten, a renowned Munich-based retailer that has collaborated with Molteni&C for over three decades.

Located in the architectural gem "Parcus Haus", originally designed in 1887 by Friedrich von Thiersch, the store spans 450 square metres and boasts high ceilings, natural light, and elegant window displays that open onto the street and inner courtyard. The showroom features curated living, kitchen, dining, and bedroom vignettes, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the timeless sophistication of Italian living.

'This Flagship Store is a conceptual celebration, an ode to the protagonists of the architecture world,' the brand states. Within its walls are works by renowned designers including Creative Director Vincent Van Duysen, Herzog & de Meuron, Foster + Partners, Jean Nouvel, Christophe Delcourt, and Gio Ponti.

The Munich space opens with the 2025 Indoor Collection, featuring pieces such as the Emile modular sofa, Maylis coffee tables by Delcourt, and Monk armchair by Tobia Scarpa. In more intimate settings, visitors will find heritage pieces like the D.154.2 armchair and D.552.2 table by Gio Ponti.

Two striking kitchens are featured: the VVD Kitchen, with a Ferrovia steel island and Travertino Titan worktop, and the Hi-line 6 Kitchen by Ferruccio Laviani, which showcases a sophisticated material palette including Green Porphyry marble and Rays Thermo oak.

The living areas highlight the Marteen and Augusto sofas, as well as the Round D.154.5 armchair and the Continuum armchair, a collaboration between Gio Ponti and Bonacina 1889. The Mateo dining table by Van Duysen is paired with the sculptural Porta Volta chairs by Herzog & de Meuron.

The night area is anchored by the Ovidio bed, complemented by the Aster and Regent tables, Teorema unit by Ron Gilad, and the Gliss Master wardrobe system, an exemplary solution for contemporary living.

True to the brand's ethos, the Munich Flagship offers not just a retail experience but an evolving cultural hub designed to foster dialogue and collaboration among architects, designers, and real estate professionals. It reflects Molteni&C's ongoing commitment to design innovation, Italian craftsmanship, and the art of living well.
