'Sales of other consumer goods increased by 5.7 percent,' Statistics Denmark reported, highlighting robust demand in categories such as furniture, interiors, and homeware products.

From March to May, sales of other consumer goods rose by 2.2 percent compared to the previous three months. On an annual basis, sales in this sector increased by 6.9 percent in May alone, underlining steady consumer appetite for home-focused purchases.

The report also noted slight revisions to earlier data. Seasonally adjusted retail sales in the category increased by 0.5 percent from March to April (revised from 0.4 percent).

According to Statistics Denmark, 'the weight of the product groups in the index in 2021 was: other consumer goods 49.8 percent,' underscoring the significance of this sector in Denmark's overall retail landscape.

The next update on retail trade figures will be released on 28 July 2025.
