Stockholm-based tech start-up Studio555 has raised €4 million in seed capital to launch an app that combines interior design with gaming. According to the company, this will create a whole new category at the intersection of creativity and technology.
The investment round was co-led by HOF Capital (US) and Failup Ventures (with offices in New York and Helsinki). Prominent names in the games industry, such as Timo Soininen (Small Giant Games), Mikko Kodisoja (Supercell) and Riccardo Zacconi (King), also participated in the funding.© Studio 555
Studio555 was founded in 2023 by a Swedish-Finnish team, including CEO Joel Roos, an experienced entrepreneur from the interior design industry. He is supported by CTO Stina Larsson and CPO Axel Ullberger, both former executives at King, known for the global success of Candy Crush Saga.
The app, due to hit the market in 2026, will offer users a playful and accessible way to design interiors, without technical prior knowledge or gaming experience. The aim is to make interior design accessible to a wide audience, from enthusiasts to casual gamers.
