Marco Rodriguez, Export Sales Manager from Spanish company Marckeric:

'Next up: Belgium and the Netherlands, with Africa growth ongoing'

Marckeric is a Spanish furniture brand founded in 1990 by Francisco Cambres, with a clear vision: to offer authentic, affordable furniture made from natural materials like Brazilian pine. Rooted in quality and rustic charm, the brand has evolved with the times, embracing Mediterranean, Scandinavian, and contemporary styles while staying true to its origins. In the 2010s, Marckeric modernized its approach with flat-pack solutions and trend-conscious collections, designed for today's lifestyle. With a strong digital presence and a focus on sustainability, including certified materials and eco-friendly packaging, Marckeric continues to bring accessible design and a warm, homely feel to interiors across Europe.

InteriorDaily spoke with Marco Rodriguez, Export Sales Manager, about the company, including how sustainability is integrated, the priorities for the coming year, and expansion plans.

What differentiates Marckeric from other players in the furniture and bedding industry?
We Make It Easy for Retailers
Working with Marckeric means getting the support you need, quick deliveries, high-quality visuals, and a product range built for both store floors and online shops.

Style That Fits Real Budgets
Our furniture is designed to look great and stay affordable. We combine clean, modern aesthetics with honest pricing, because good design should be for everyone.

Our furniture is easy to assemble, but it still feels solid and well-finished. It's stylish, practical, and made for the way people live today.

Collections That Work Together
From bedroom to dining, our collections are made to mix and match effortlessly. It's all about creating spaces that feel balanced, coordinated, and easy to pull together.

Sustainability and conscious living are major trends. How does Marckeric incorporate these into its products and operations?
'At Marckeric, we're actively moving toward more sustainable practices. We're transitioning to certified wood sourcing, designing durable flat-pack furniture, and replacing plastic and Styrofoam with packaging that meets EU environmental standards. By using recyclable materials and streamlining logistics, we're reducing our footprint and supporting a more eco-conscious way of living.'

Looking ahead, what are Marckeric's priorities for the next 5 years?
'Over the next five years, Marckeric aims to expand into new markets, particularly in Benelux, Eastern Europe and other regions where its product offering resonates strongly. A key focus will be the development of MOME, our core range brand, designed to offer trend-conscious, affordable furniture to a broader audience.

At the same time, Marckeric will continue evolving toward a more internet-oriented business model, strengthening its support for e-commerce partners and enhancing the digital shopping experience. Sustainability remains a core priority, with continued efforts to improve eco-design, adopt recyclable packaging, and ensure full compliance with European environmental regulations.

Finally, the company will focus on refining its product offer: developing modular, flat-pack, and space-efficient solutions that meet the needs of modern living.'

Are there plans to expand into new markets or product categories?
'Marckeric plans to expand into new markets, starting with Belgium and the Netherlands, while continuing to grow in Africa. At the same time, we're developing a new middle-range brand, and strengthening our presence with e-commerce customers across all regions.'

'We're also excited to launch our new brand during the upcoming Valencia fair in September; a big step forward in our journey.
