The bankruptcy of The Hague-based (in The Netherlands) LXRYDesign B.V. came unexpectedly for its owner. Due to health problems, he had not been active in the company for a year and was under the impression that everything was neatly wrapped up. 'I find it strange that there is now a bankruptcy,' he responds. 'As far as I know, there were no major debts and no one has tried to reach me in any other way.'

LXRYDesign was founded in April 2020 and focused on selling kitchens and furniture. Initial plans to open a showroom soon proved financially unfeasible. 'The idea was to open a showroom, but that investment turned out to be too big. Then we went from business to business,' explains the owner.
His decision to quit was therefore not done with pleasure. Besides his deteriorating health, disappointing business results also played a role. According to him, it was a conscious decision to lay down operations, assuming that the business could be wound down without major problems.
