Polish appliance giant Amica has reappointed Zbigniew Platek as Managing Director, marking his return to the post after nearly five years. Platek, who originally led the company from November 2016 to April 2020, resumed the role on 1 June 2025 following the departure of Frank Trittel, who served from July 2020 to July 2024.

During his earlier tenure, Platek was "significantly involved in the company's positive development." His return signals continuity in Amica's strategic direction, with a strong focus on "Made in Europe" and in-house production at its Polish facilities.
He will lead the company alongside Marcel Kühn, Director of Sales & Marketing, and Arthur Stahlberg, Director of Operations. Former interim Managing Director Maja Rutkowska, also Vice President of the Amica Group, has now joined the company's Advisory Board.
Rutkowska stated: 'We are pleased that Mr. Platek has taken over the management of Amica International... His extensive experience and expertise will further advance the company.' She emphasised the shared goal of strengthening Amica's position in the German market.
This leadership reshuffle underlines Amica's commitment to long-term stability and growth in a competitive and evolving electrical appliance industry.
