HPL in your pocket: ICDLI exhibits first digital compendium at interzum 2025

This new, manufacturer-independent reference work, accessible at www.hpl-kompendium.de , brings together a wealth of technical expertise, practical tips, and the latest developments in the versatile world of High Pressure Laminate (HPL). It marks a major step forward in making HPL knowledge more accessible, up-to-date, and mobile.

'With this digital compendium, we are closing an important gap and creating a central source of knowledge for everyone who works with HPL or is interested in the material – and the content can be carried in your pocket at all times,' said Sven Weihe, Secretary General of the ICDLI. 'It is a vibrant project that grows with the industry and is constantly kept up to date.'

Following its acclaimed printed edition in 2019, which has been published in five languages, the launch of the digital version (initially in German) reflects the ICDLI's commitment to evolving with industry needs. An English edition is already in preparation.

Live launch at interzum 2025
The unveiling took place at the ICDLI booth during interzum 2025, drawing member company representatives, industry professionals, and fair visitors. Throughout the event, attendees can explore the new compendium, engage with ICDLI experts, and discuss its practical applications.

The HPL compendium serves as a comprehensive digital reference for architects, designers, manufacturers, and processors, covering the structure, production, and properties of HPL, as well as a wide range of applications, from furniture and interiors to facades and architecture. In addition, the compendium tackles broader themes such as sustainability, standardisation, and product safety.

By transitioning to a digital format, the ICDLI has created a tool that is easily updated and instantly accessible, ensuring it remains aligned with the dynamic development of the HPL industry.
