Maison&Objet presents its “Cook&Share” sector, or the art of good entertaining

This September, Maison&Objet invites visitors to explore the immersive world of 'Cook & Share', where the artistry of gastronomy meets the sophistication of design. This year's edition places a spotlight on technique as a powerful tool to elevate the act of entertaining, transforming function into a vessel for emotional and sensory expression.

In this vibrant sector, every detail, from menus to tableware, cutlery to gourmet gifts, cooking to décor, becomes part of a sensory choreography. The result is a 'type of exaggerated synesthesia, where the senses respond and rise in a play of textures at the crossroads of ergonomics and aesthetics.' Design becomes a narrative, choreographing gestures into an elegant performance centred around beauty and shared experience.

"Cooking to bring people together around beauty"
At the heart of the 'Cook & Share' sector lies the Gourmet space, a tribute to culinary creativity and artisanal excellence. It will highlight gourmet creations and savoir-faire, presenting taste as an immersive experience and hospitality as a refined art form.

Cédric Manuel, Assistant Buyer at Printemps, highlights the value of the fair: 'Maison&Objet is an opportunity for us to meet with our suppliers in cutlery, cookware, and kitchen accessories, and to discover their latest products and innovations.'

This season's must-see brands include Fern&Co., Denise, and House of Nunu, each offering unique design narratives that infuse everyday objects with personality and emotion.

Fern&Co., a Turkish tableware brand based in Istanbul, was founded in 2017 and draws inspiration from the ferns of Muir Woods in San Francisco. Known for its porcelain and melamine collections, the brand blends contemporary art with thematic design. Each season tells a new story, often as limited editions in collaboration with artists.

Denise, launched in 2021 by Belgian sisters Daphné and Natacha, celebrates conviviality through artisanal tableware, hand-blown glassware, and linen textiles. Their creations, designed in Belgium and crafted in Portugal, capture 'the spontaneity and elegance of large family gatherings, with a warm and colourful spirit.'

House of Nunu, founded in 2011 in Sydney by designer Nura Hatami, began with handcrafted candles and expanded to include home décor, hand-blown glassware, and textiles. The brand focuses on evoking memories and sparking joy, with an emphasis on aesthetics, quality, and sustainability.

Maison&Objet's MOM platform (mom.maison-objet.com) complements the fair, allowing professionals to explore curated selections like "Cook & Share" throughout the year. It offers a continuous connection to new trends, negotiated trade rates, and a direct link between creators and retailers.

This September, Maison&Objet will once again serve as the international stage for new synergies between design and lifestyle, where everyday objects become artistic expressions of togetherness and innovation.
