Design Hub Denmark is the name of a new annual concept that, starting from this August, unfolds around the Autumn edition of the Danish interior and lifestyle trade show, Formland. The event takes place from 17-19 August in Herning, Denmark, and at the exhibition centre MCH Messecenter Herning.
With the ambition of creating the premium Northern European destination for the design, interior and lifestyle industry, Formland and several partners have joined forces to establish Design Hub Denmark - a cluster of leading interior and lifestyle brands. In close collaboration, all partners will invite customers, buyers, influencers and journalists to join Design Hub Denmark and Formland with the aim of making a visit even more attractive.
This new initiative is launched to get at the forefront of the industry and set new standards for networking and trade as well as elevating dynamic and inspiring discoveries. Georg Sørensen, CEO of MCH A/S, says about the motivation behind the new concept:
'After several years of major changes in the European trade show landscape, the need to strengthen cross-industry collaboration is greater than ever. Simply put, Design Hub Denmark is a result of that' a partnership between brands that will also strengthen Formland's position as the leading Northern European destination for brands, buyers and professionals in the design, interior and lifestyle industry. And a partnership that can attract even more profiles and set new ambitions for how the industry meets, connects and finds new business opportunities.
The industry sees great prospects
All Design Hub Denmark partners exhibit side by side with other exciting brands from the design, interior and lifestyle industry at the Autumn edition of Formland. This statement underlines the fact that the trade show continues its core focus on being the key industry platform. One of the partners, Dansk Mode & Textil, sees great perspectives in the new concept.
'We need to ensure that Formland maintains and expands its position as Northern Europe's most important platform for the lifestyle industry. It takes courage to go in new directions, but it's also essential, which we at DM&T know first-hand with more than 75 years as an active part of trade shows and events in the interior, textile and fashion industry, e.g., Copenhagen Fashion Week. Formland has that courage and with Design Hub Denmark we now have a strong position to invite the most important customers, buyers, influencers and journalists, and make Formland even more attractive to both exhibitors and visitors', according to CEO of Dansk Mode & Textil Thomas Klausen.
Great prerequisites
Design Hub Denmark seeks to attract industry professionals from the Nordic countries and globally, and to appeal to both single-store professionals and buyers from the largest chains. According to Formland's Project Manager Flemming Andersen, this creates the best conditions for both the industry and the platform.
'We are incredibly proud to launch as ambitious an initiative as Design Hub Denmark and, looking specifically at Formland, we are happy to welcome even more leading brands who will exhibit together with the many other exciting brands at the trade show. We look very much forward to August, and are convinced that this new concept will benefit everyone, both brands and buyers', states Flemming Andersen.
Design Hub Denmark takes place around the Autumn edition of the interior and lifestyle trade show Formland at MCH Messecenter Herning in Denmark from 17-19 August 2025.
