Dutch furniture brand opens first store in Annecy

A Dutch furniture brand has opened its first store in Annecy, marking a key step in its French expansion. Located in the Épagny-Metz-Tessy business park, approximately ten kilometres from Annecy city centre, the 380 m² space is operated by the Berthod Group, which also manages sister brand H&H in the same area.

Xooon, part of the Habufa group alongside concepts like COCOmaison and H&H, brings a wide selection of fully customisable furniture to the French Alps. The new store is described by the brand as a "temple of contemporary furniture" and showcases pieces designed at its Dutch studio. Styles range from Scandinavian and industrial to minimalist and Japandi, with each collection blending current trends, diverse materials and attention to detail.

The Annecy location features themed areas designed to immerse customers in "inspiring atmospheres". Furniture such as the "Bellagio" sofa and "Dante" chairs are presented in styled settings to help visitors envision them in their own homes. Three in-store sales consultants offer personalised advice, with a strong focus on customisation and materials.

Operational director Lionel Raffort of the Berthod Group said the opening 'marks a new step in our commitment to making contemporary design accessible to all'. He added, 'By offering bold and customisable collections, we aim to inspire our customers and offer them an interior that reflects their personality.'

With 17 stores now open across France since its launch in 2011, Xooon aims to meet diverse interior needs. The brand emphasises creative freedom, with furniture that allows customers to "express their personality, without constraints and without filters".
