FIAM Italia renews its participation in the Salone del Mobile and prepares to amaze with a collection that redefines the balance between design and innovation through the iconic curved glass processing, which has enabled the firm to become the main reference point in the high-end furnishing sector. The leitmotif of this edition is surprise: a common thread linking each creation through lightness, transparency and optical illusions that challenge perception.
Hence design becomes a sensorial experience, a play of illusions between solids and voids where the material meets its most incorporeal essence. In its pursuit of refined aesthetics, FIAM continues to challenge the boundaries of technology, introducing increasingly sophisticated techniques that elevate glass to the absolute protagonist of interior design.
Among the novelties on display are pieces of extraordinary impact: an armchair that seems to float in a vacuum, mirrors that expand infinitely, sideboards that play with light and transparency, and coffee tables with a pleated texture that evoke the lightness of a fabric. Each creation is a challenge to the laws of physics, a perpetual dialogue between matter and illusion.

With this new collection, FIAM Italia confirms once again its ability to reinvent glass, transforming it into art and surprise. At the Salone del Mobile, the Brand stimulates visitors to discover a new way of perceiving design - made of lightness, wonder and pure visual magic.
The illusion of suspension is perfectly represented by ONAIR, the new armchair designed by Ceriani Szostak, where the curved glass, characteristic of Fiam, replaces the traditional legs, creating a visual separation between the seat and the floor. A distinctive feature that increases the sense of floating, as if the armchair was suspended in the air. This interaction between solid form and transparency gives ONAIR a presence that is both defined and elusive, tangible yet ethereal, where comfort meets the illusion of lightness. Designed with graceful elegance, it integrates perfectly within any environment, complementing the space without ever being invasive.
The dynamism of the material is expressed with GLISS, the coffee tables duo that explore rhythm and materiality, born from the creative brilliance of the same designers, Ceriani Szostak. In this case, glass seems to lose its static nature to become a moving surface, inspired by the beauty of pleated fabrics. This effect is achieved through Fiam's innovative DV-GLASS® patented technique, which consists in the fusion of several glass sheets at high temperature, transforming a rigid material into a renewed surface that is rich in movement and texture. In GLISS, the vertical streaks of the surface capture the light, generating a play of light and shadow in which transparency changes depending on the angle of the observer.
Then is MAGNIFICO, the new collection of mirrors by Marcel Wanders, giving life to extraordinary design. Conceived to become much more than a simple furnishing accessory, its name comes from the Latin words "Magnus" (big) and "facere" (to make), which perfectly encapsulate the essence of this collection: to make it big. These mirrors have been cut in their top and bottom sections, allowing a further visual expansion. The result is a fascinating play of proportions that amplifies the perception of space, creating an evocative feeling of infinity. Their modularity and finishes - silver, bronze and smoked glass - allow the collection to adapt to any environment and create a striking, modern and timeless visual impact.

Finally is the new SEGESTA sideboard designed by Studio Klass, redefining the relationship between materials, geometry and functionality. The key element of the project is its slim and essential frame, conceived to visually softens the structure and highlight the materiality of the high-temperature fused glass. This architectural frame envelops volumes and surfaces with lightness, generating a refined balance between different essences. The contrast between the solid top and the transparent doors creates a dynamic play of empty-full that emphasises the clean geometry and discreet elegance of the design. Fiam once again confirms its ability to innovate and challenge the limits of the material, creating iconic pieces suspended between art and design. The Salone del Mobile will be the perfect opportunity to discover the fusion technique between art and innovation through a new collection of timeless beauty.
