Paul Schatz Home Furnishings, known for its premium furniture offerings, is a leading dealer of brands like Stickley, Taylor King, Bernhardt, and Ekornes, and also offers mattresses from Tempur-Pedic and Stearns & Foster. The Tigard store is reportedly the largest Stickley dealer in the Northwest.

The reasons for the store's closure have not been officially disclosed. However, an unnamed store manager suggested that the closure was due to changing customer preferences, with a shift towards faster delivery times over the quality and longevity of the products. The Tigard store is expected to remain open until the inventory is sold out, likely by the end of March.

Despite the closure, Paul Schatz Home Furnishings has not yet provided further details or a public statement.
