Interview with Stylish Club's Executive Director, Samuel Santiago:

'We sense that the UK market is rebounding from challenging times'

The Stylish Club's Executive Director, Samuel Santiago, and his team were exhibitors at the recent 46th edition of Decorex in London. The Portuguese team presented its newest collections, and in Santiago's words, felt like they were 'experiencing an early Christmas', surrounded by world-class designs. We caught up with Samuel, to hear about his team's experiences at Decorex and their ambitions for the future.

You were recently at Decorex. How was the fair?
'The fair felt like an early Christmas. It had been over a decade since we last exhibited in London, so returning with a more evolved and matured brand was truly fascinating and rewarding. Seeing the hard work of many years recognised through the public's feedback was a gratifying experience. The response from visitors, old friends, and new potential clients was overwhelmingly positive, perfectly aligning with our strategic plans for the brand's awareness and market penetration.'

What did you show there?
'We showcased the River Collection, featuring a living room and a dining set that created a really warm and welcoming atmosphere. We wanted as well to bring something new, never shown before, and we were able to present a piece of the Stone Collection, a new side table full of charisma!'

What was organised well, and what could have been better?
'The event's organisation showed a clear effort to better serve both exhibitors and visitors, with spacious corridors and well-lit pavilions. However, there is always room for improvement—adding more talks and presentations could potentially attract a larger audience and increase attendance at the exhibition.'

How is the market in the UK right now? Is it a good market for Stylish Club?
'We sense that the UK market is buzzing, rebounding from challenging times. We decided to participate at Decorex because we've been actively working on several projects with local partners and clients. The UK has always been a key market for Stylish Club, serving as a design HUB that sets trends for many of the markets we operate in. It remains, and will continue to be, an important focus for us.'

What are the future plans for the company?
'With 45 years of experience in the Group and since 2011 establishing Stylish Club as a prestigious brand built on respect for our clients and their projects, we aim to continue this legacy for the next 45 years. Our focus remains on what we do best—creating high-end furniture accompanied by outstanding service, consistently exceeding customer expectations in quality and timely delivery, which are the cornerstones of our business. Whether in the UK or across the more than 40 markets where we operate, we are dedicated to serving our valued customers and welcoming new ones, fostering growth together.'
