The current status of registrations for the Meble Polska 2025 fair, scheduled to take place in Poznań from February 25 to 28, indicates that next year's edition of the largest furniture contracting event in Central and Eastern Europe will surpass that of February 2024. Recent challenges in the furniture industry have not affected the vitality of this event.
The industry is responding proactively to the current situation. Producers are utilising the Poznań furniture fair to diversify their customer base and expand into new geographic markets. So far, the space booked by exhibitors matches that of the same period last year. 'We are still waiting for final confirmations on booth sizes from some of our regular exhibitors,' says Józef Szyszka, director of Meble Polska.
The MTP Group is also actively engaging with furniture manufacturers from Ukraine. This initiative, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Furniture Manufacturers Association (UAFM), has recognised Meble Polska as the most effective sales promotion tool among furniture fairs. Preliminary announcements suggest that the representation of Ukrainian companies will be even larger than in the 2024 edition.
An increasing number of companies, such as Forte, are submitting their applications well in advance, even over six months before the event. This greatly facilitates organisers, allowing for earlier and more effective promotion of exhibitors and the event itself among furniture buyers both domestically and abroad.
Currently, Meble Polska occupies pavilions 3, 3A, 4, 5, 5A (Home Decor Hall), 6, and 8, surpassing the space used during the record pre-pandemic edition in 2020, when half of the largest pavilion was occupied by another event.
Inquiries from imm cologne exhibitors
The organisers continue to accept applications from exhibitors, and interest in participating in Meble Polska is on the rise. The cancellation of the January imm cologne fair has sparked interest from new companies. Even before we received official notice of the Cologne fair's suspension, national and international firms originally planning to showcase their offerings there began reaching out to us. They are now seeking alternative ways to connect with international furniture buyers. Meble Polska, with a strong representation of traders from around 70 countries and scheduled around the same time, seems like the obvious choice, explains Józef Szyszka. The Poznań Fair organisers assure that they still have ample capacity to accommodate exhibitors in the pavilions.
