Paustian's restructuring leads to debts for subsidiary

Mutebox, known from 'Løvens Hule', reported a significant loss of 3.5 million DKK for the last fiscal year, bringing its total losses to 8.6 million DKK since 2022. The company, which specialises in soundproof meeting boxes, acknowledges that the results fall short of expectations.

Moreover, Mutebox's challenges are compounded by financial difficulties at its parent company, Paustian, which is undergoing restructuring. Mutebox is one of the creditors, owed 1.3 million DKK, and has set aside 1 million DKK for anticipated bad debts.

Interim CEO Inge Marie Hjort noted the challenging market conditions but remains optimistic about the potential for their products. The company's current losses are attributed to investments in expanding into Germany and the UK, which have yet to yield positive returns. Despite the negative financial situation, the ownership group has forgiven debts and injected funds, stabilizing the equity at 766,000 DKK to ensure ongoing operations.
