Amazon partners with TikTok for in-app shopping

E-commerce giant Amazon has signed a significant deal with TikTok, allowing the company to sell products through advertisements on the platform without requiring users to leave the app. This move could potentially lead to a substantial increase in revenue for Amazon.

This collaboration, developed under the project name "Project Handshake", enables users to link their TikTok accounts to their Amazon profiles, allowing them to complete purchases without being redirected to the Amazon website. This creates a seamless and efficient shopping experience.

Amazon recently signed a similar agreement with Pinterest. The company also has existing partnerships with other social media giants such as Meta Platforms and Snap, further expanding its presence and sales capabilities across various social media platforms.
