The Canadian designer Jai Jalan, who has been collaborating with Désirée for some time, has designed the Ethìa sofa for the latest collection. This piece reflects his sensitivity to soft and enveloping shapes, becoming the focal point of the living room from which comfort and cosiness emanate.
Désirée offers a wide range of sofas to satisfy every taste in terms of shapes, colours, modularity, and materials. Ethìa was born from this approach, characterised by organic and sinuous shapes. It is composed of slightly curved upholstered elements in various sizes, configurable as islands or peninsulas to create dynamic and contemporary environments.
The backrest, resting on the seat and fixed to the base with visible metal elements in a bronze finish, is embellished with stitching that creates a quilted effect. This design infuses sensory, tactile, and visual properties, highlighting the company's craftsmanship.
With a background in the automotive industry, Jalan brings insights and expertise to furniture design that influence his approach, where forms evoke emotions—a concept he constantly pursues.
