Specialized in the production of design furniture in solid wood, the Croatian brand Milla&Milli introduces the Bloom Collection, riding the wave of the strong interest the public expressed during the recent Salone del Mobile.Milano and the success obtained with the Bloom Icon Bar Cabinet, which was awarded the 2024 German Design Award.
The source of inspiration for this furniture family, designed by the Croatian design team Think Objects, who worked with the idea of bringing nature into the home, is the freshly blossomed flower, delicate and poetic with its crisp and smooth petals. Declined into various proposals for contemporary living, the collection impresses with its original style made of soft and enveloping lines with velvety surfaces, often in relief, as well as with its extraordinary ability to interpret the material and give shape to even the smallest detail.
Each element is the fruit of a careful selection of the most precious parts of solid wood from walnut, cherry to hornbeam, which are meticulously combined into a single block and crafted with a combination of CNC machinery and artisanal workmanship. The development process of each piece is a testament to patience and dedication, with logs being naturally dried for two years before spending an additional six months in a drying chamber. It is through this lengthy process that the wood attains the stability and perfection needed for crafting high-quality furniture. Thanks to the numerous stages of wood brushing, the Bloom Collection achieves the right tactile and visual softness, strikingly close to that of a natural petal.
The Bloom Icon Bar Cabinet, a free-standing piece shaped like a tulip and distinguished by a shiny black steel base, captivates the viewer with its tall fluid and sensual lines that safeguard the contents like a trove. The wall version, Bloom Bar Cabinet, which has a more traditional and generous size, is equally stunning due to the workmanship of the solid wood with its essential yet sculptural beauty.
In the elegant Bloom Dining Table, the inverted corolla on the base seems to effortlessly and with the utmost formal lightness support the round top, offered in solid wood, glass or marble. For the conversation area, the collection instead proposes the Bloom Coffee Table in two versions, Medium and Large, which seems to embrace the top available in the same materials as the dining table. With its strong personality, this piece alone has the ability to imbue a distinctive style on the entire living area.
The collection is completed by the Bloom Sideboard, a piece conceived to be placed against the wall, with rounded and sliding doors in solid wood combined with a black steel frame. Select materials and high-quality craftsmanship combined with an original concept define an iconic and timeless collection with a unique formal elegance, where the added value is also given by the great customization possibilities.
