The British Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has issued a warning letter to mattress brand Emma Sleep, indicating potential court action if the company does not modify its practices. Specifically, the CMA has targeted Emma Matratzen GmbH, Emma Sleep GmbH, and Emma Sleep UK Limited, along with their directors, collectively referred to as the Emma Group.

The CMA expressed its concerns to the Emma Group on July 24, 2023, outlining the issues in detail and seeking a commitment to change their online sales tactics to avoid legal action. Despite this, the Emma Group has not agreed to make the necessary changes as requested by the CMA.
Due to this lack of agreement, the CMA has notified the Emma Group of its intention to initiate court proceedings if they do not promptly alter their practices.
