Dr. Christoph Morgen, the provisional insolvency administrator for MWS Westfalen Werke NDS and its general partner MWS Werke Westfalen, made the following statement to the industry: 'Continuing operations is not possible due to the lack of economic prospects. Therefore, I had to inform the employees at a meeting that, unfortunately, the operation will cease upon the initiation of insolvency proceedings on June 1st. This is very regrettable, especially since the current 280 employees - as well as many former employees - have repeatedly contributed to various restructuring projects at this long-standing furniture manufacturing site over the years.'
