Vanita & Casa takes inspiration from nature for new mirror collection

Mirror as a furnishing accessory. Mirror as a design element created to give the environment in which it is placed style and elegance. From the bathroom to the living room, from the bedroom to the entrance area, for over 10 years Vanità & Casa has been designing and manufacturing mirrors and mirror cabinets at the service of people and their needs, which stand out for their modern, functional lines and above all for the light, based on technologies such as Foggy, Ghost and MLS.

This year at the Salone del Mobile in the space dedicated to Vanità Living products, visitors could admire the collection of mirrors and furnishing elements for the entire home, created to enrich the domestic environment with precious reflections that bring more light, increase perspective, and characterize every room.

Like Foggy, the mirror designed by Studio Adolini that takes inspiration from nature, presented for the first time at the Salone both in the free-standing and wall hung versions. Based on Ghost technology, Foggy, currently registered as patent-pending, offers three Kelvin temperatures: 3000K - 4000K - 6000K, has a light frame that can appear and disappear as a luminous fog, starting from the outer perimeter towards the centre of the mirror, so as to illuminate and not dazzle the person. A soft, gentle, gradient, and natural light is generated, a radial light that gradually fades between the illuminated and non-illuminated areas.

Boomerang, the mirror designed by architect and designer Massimo Farinatti with a colourful wooden frame, also reproduces organic shapes inspired by the elements of nature using inlay technology. Obtained by laser-cutting, three different wood essences were then carefully composed by hand to determine the mirror's chromatic impact. 'For this project, the designer also made use of Artificial Intelligence at the beginning, which, thanks to the processing of appropriate prompts, formulated various opportunities that then led to the elaboration of the design. But the final effect is once again provided by the light which, thanks to Ghost technology, when the lighting disappears…. No trace of transparency, no shadows, nothing remains to affect the purity of reflection. Moreover, the lighting can not only be gradually adjusted to the requirements of intensity and Kelvin temperature, but also completes the design, making Boomerang comparable to an artistic work,' the brand says.

Specialising in the production of mirrors and illuminated container mirrors, Vanita & Casa was founded in 2011 from the experience gained by Alexander Caruso in the bathroom furnishing sector with the aim of offering unique products, a perfect synthesis of innovation and design.
