Cierre1972: 'The new collection is deeply connected to nature'

This year, cierre1972 wanted to present and stage its new products within three different architectural contexts, each imbued with a unique sense of style, personally and harmonically rearranged to fit their natural environment. From the experimental rationalism of Catalonia, where the constructions of vaults are fused and confused with the unique shapes of maritime pines; to the Brianzan villa, a full-fledged museum where even the garden becomes an open-air exposition; and finally, the house in Milan, where the garden is part of the interior in an example of spatial optimisation.

The new '24 collection is draped with natural shades and materials deeply connected to nature, such as travertine marble, wood, and hand-woven leather, referencing an essential, nearly primal style.

Once again this year, the company offers a wide selection of sofas, armchairs, tables and coffee tables, chairs and accessories all made with the skillful craftsmanship of materials and choice of fabrics and their nuances.

Chapeau, design Stefano Conficconi
'Chapeau is a masterpiece of elegant versatility, adaptable to any desire of comfort,' the brand says. The high backrests equipped with mechanisms allow the best possible comfort for any occasion: a sofa changing its shape according to your needs, rendered unique by details such as the leather-covered base. Everything is lifted onto elegant legs, available in 10 different finishes to enhance any surface.

Iole, design Maurizio Manzoni
A comfortable armchair, made all the more sophisticated by the use of natural materials such as wood and leather. The structure is carved with impeccable woodwork, while the leather engulfing the armrests is handled with attentive craftsmanship.

Jamiro, design Marco Fumagalli
Simple lines and complex design, fullness and beauty are shaped through emptiness and its function. High craftsmanship, leather in its purity wrapped around a metal core, drawing lines of comfort in the air. The stitches are hand-sewn like old-time saddles, and the edges are lacquered in 10 different colours.

Jared, design Maurizio Manzoni
A canvas of soft woven leather is stretched upon a light and airy tubular structure, drawing a headboard that is exquisite and welcoming in its linearity. An upholstered bed frame is placed in the picture to balance out the leanness of the headboard. This is a unique bed, embellished by refined materials and made with skilled craftsmanship.

Dama, design Maurizio Manzoni
With this new family of accessories, the intention of cierre1972 is to elevate all the stylistic possibilities of masterfully-crafted leather and its strength in defining functional furniture. The product is conceptually designed to be solely comprised of woven leather. Combining inserts and different materials, these "baskets" can lend themselves to different purposes: comfortable poufs or containers sealed by stone or wooden countertops.

Tappo, design Cierre Lab
A circle of marble or wood, sustained by an essential strip of leather, its place is anywhere we desire, its time is now and forever. The perfect union of stylistic simplicity and Italian know-how. Pure and simple strokes, geometric shapes intersecting with sharp lines, and precious materials such as leather, marble, and walnut turn all the simplicity into luxury.
