Der Kreis Systemverbund experienced a downturn for the first time in its corporate history in the past fiscal year 2023 due to constraining economic policy effects in Germany and global crises, as well as a significantly weakened consumer sentiment.

The Leonberg community of kitchen specialists, bath, heating and climate specialists, carpenters, joiners, interior designers, as well as shop and window construction specialists, was able to maintain its total sales at around 4.81 billion euros.
The demand for high-quality, custom-built kitchens remained stable in 2023, with the trend manifested by the continued increase in the average price per kitchen: while it was 15,480 euros in 2022, kitchen specialists achieved an average of 15,523 euros in 2023, representing a slight increase of 0.28 percent. Quality kitchens as well as carpentry services, interior design, and heating conversions remained in demand across Europe.
The member companies of the group were confronted with various challenging situations in 2023, and in economically uncertain times, there was a noticeable reluctance to purchase in the kitchen, living, and bathroom sectors.
The system network will continue to extend its international reach. This currently includes the expansion of the franchise company Varia in Eastern Europe, especially in Romania. In addition, Der Kreis was able to enter into a promising cooperation this year with the KBBA group in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
