Interview with the artist

Paola Paronetto: 'a global journey of artistic excellence and innovation'

Paola Paronetto began her artisan business in 1989 with no prior business experience. The company currently has 7 employees. In 2023 Paola Paronetto was presented with the Business Woman of the Year award by the Chamber of Commerce FVG.

Paola Paronetto's ceramics are considered to skirt between the lines of Art and Design and since the early 2000's have been sought after by stylists, designers, architects and collectors in the Art and Design world. Sold in points of sale in over 50 countries and spread over all habitable continents, Paola Paronetto's artwork appeals to different cultures and demographics.

InteriorDaily visited the booth at Salone del Mobile and asked the artist some questions about her work and company.

Paola Paronetto.

In what markets is the brand active, and how are the market conditions right now?
'Paola Paronetto's presence resonates across every corner of the globe, as she seamlessly navigates through all luxury markets worldwide. Her universal appeal stems from the profound cultural connection embedded within her work. There's an inherent harmony with nature in her creations, which transcends boundaries and speaks to the hearts of people from all walks of life.'

What did you think of the Salone del Mobile fair in Milan?
'Our participation in Maison et Objet has consistently proven fruitful for Paola Paronetto, garnering significant success. This year instead we decided to participate at Salone del Mobile.Milano and it was no exception, as we received an overwhelmingly positive response and forged new connections across diverse sectors. While our busy schedule left little time for exploration, our satisfaction is evident in the promising outcomes. And although we couldn't fully assess the event's overall impact, our experience reaffirmed its importance to our continued growth and engagement.'

What products were on show and how were they received?
'We presented Paola's full range of collections, including the Reflections collaboration with Giovanni Botticelli. The debut of our new Girasoli pieces was met with great enthusiasm. Paola also introduced the charming PINO collection, which complemented wonderfully her existing portfolio. The feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive, and we now have a lot of work ahead of us to build on this momentum.'

What's in store for you the brand in the future? Do you have any other fairs on the program?
'Paola is currently immersed in several projects that have emerged from diverse artistic collaborations, and of course, she remains deeply engaged in production. While it's still a bit premature to confirm our participation in other fairs at the moment, we are curious about the upcoming 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen.

As we look ahead, Paola's dedication to innovation and collaboration continues to drive her artistic journey forward. With a keen eye on emerging opportunities, we remain poised to explore new horizons while staying true to the timeless elegance and craftsmanship that define Paola Paronetto's work. We eagerly anticipate what the future holds, confident in her ability to captivate audiences and inspire with each new endeavour.'
