In Swedish retail sector, the number of bankruptcies decreased following increases in January and February

The number of bankruptcies in the retail sector decreased by 11 percent in March compared to the corresponding month last year. In March 2023, 85 companies in the subsector went bankrupt, compared to 76 in the corresponding month this year. This made the retail sector stand out in rather bleak statistics, with UC stating that the number of bankruptcies has increased in seven of the ten largest sectors included in the database, totaling 36 percent compared to March of the previous year. That's mentioned by Dagens Handel.
