Ritterwerk, the renowned manufacturer of kitchen and built-in appliances, has announced a strategic shift in its distribution channels within the built-in sector. This move comes as the company adapts its distribution strategy to meet the evolving demands of the market. This was mentioned by Möbelmarkt.

The decision to introduce additional direct sales through kitchen and home furnishings retailers is a direct response to the substantial price hikes that have made many appliances prohibitively expensive for consumers, particularly during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. With this strategic adjustment, Ritterwerk aims to offer its customers more competitive prices while also enhancing sales prospects.
One key advantage of direct sales is the opportunity for more hands-on support at the point of sale (POS). To facilitate this, Ritterwerk plans to establish a distribution model featuring sales representatives, mirroring the successful approach already employed for kitchen appliances in the electrical retail sector. While the company has already secured reliable partners for most regions of Germany, there is still a need for additional committed distribution partners, particularly in central and western Germany.
