Swedish wooden building export shrinks by 6%

The total export in Sweden of prefabricated wooden buildings decreased in January-November 2023 by 6 percent to 709 million SEK compared to 2022. Export to Germany increased by 6 percent to 146 million Swedish kronor. Export to Norway decreased by 11 percent to 434 million SEK, and export to Finland increased by 3 percent to SEK 53 million.

The total import of wooden buildings decreased by 33 percent to approximately SEK 1 billion (SEK 1.5 billion). Imports from Estonia decreased by 43 percent to 503 million SEK, and imports from Lithuania decreased by 3 percent to 195 million SEK. Imports from Norway decreased by 66 percent to 14 million Swedish kronor.
