Escape to the country TV presenter Jules Hudson starts furniture making course

Jules Hudson, best known for his role as a presenter on the popular show Escape to the Country, has embarked on a new adventure by enrolling in a three-month furniture making course in Dorset. In the British TV show individuals or couples are searching for rural properties as an alternative to city living, guided by property experts. Viewers are treated to scenic countryside views and insights into rural lifestyles as prospective buyers explore potential homes across the UK.

The 54-year-old presenter has taken a break from his television commitments to pursue his passion for woodworking at the Boat Building Academy and Furniture Making School (BBA). His decision to join the academy was inspired by a previous filming experience there back in 2012, which left a lasting impression on him.

'After filming at the academy in 2012 it stuck in my mind, and I always wanted to return. But when you have a family and are working, life just moves on, and you go with it,' says Jules.

Feeling burnt out and in need of a reset, Jules decided to take the plunge and enroll in the 12-week furniture making course. 'Making has always been something I have always been able to lose myself in and it has been a hugely rewarding experience to immerse myself in learning and working with wood with world-class experts.'

However, the TV presenter has no intention of leaving Escape to the country, which he has presented since 2007.
