Walter Scherz becomes new CFO of the Franke Group

Walter Scherz will take over responsibility for the Franke Group's finance area from Juerg Fischer as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on September 1, 2024, and will therefore also be appointed to the Management Board. After 19 years at Franke as CFO, Juerg Fischer will take his well-deserved retirement at the end of August 2024.

Walter Scherz has around 20 years of experience in finance and comes from the D├Ątwyler Group. The 46-year-old has been a member of the Management Board since 2020 and was CFO of the Finance & Shared Services corporate function. Prior to that, he spent seven years at D├Ątwyler in various management roles, including Vice President Corporate Development and Post Merger Integration in the Sealing Solutions division and Head of Internal Group Audit. He began his professional career at KPMG, where he worked as an external auditor and in other functions with international assignments. Walter Scherz holds a master's degree in economics from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland, and is a certified auditor.

Patrik Wohlhauser, CEO of the Franke Group, says: 'We would like to thank Juerg Fischer for his many valuable contributions to the successful growth of our company for almost two decades. He has accompanied Franke with foresight, great expertise and commitment and has mastered numerous challenges competently and reliably. I am pleased that we have been able to appoint Walter Scherz, a highly experienced personality, as our new CFO. With his excellent track record, he has everything it takes to further develop Franke Group's finance area successfully. Franke will benefit from his extensive expertise and strong leadership qualities.'
