In September 2023, after more than seven successful years as CEO of Swiss Krono Group, Martin Brettenthaler (53) decided to embark on a new professional journey. At the request of the owner, he continued to lead the Group's activities until a successor could be appointed. As of February 1, 2024, Peter Wijnbergen (61) will assume the management of the Group by stepping into the role of CEO.
Peter Wijnbergen has been a member of the Board of Directors at the wood products supplier since 2022, and can look back on a long career in the timber industry, most recently as CEO of Norbord. Martin Brettenthaler will now leave the Group on January 31, 2024, under the best terms with the owner and the Group's Board of Directors.

The search for a successor has begun. By assuming the role of CEO, Peter Wijnbergen, a member of the Board of Directors, will ensure continuity in the management of Swiss Krono Group and stimulate the Group's further growth.
