German kitchen manufacturer Nobilia acquires stake in French SEIP Group

The German company Nobilia, a prominent player in the kitchen industry, has expanded its influence by acquiring a stake in the SEIP Group (Société européenne d'investissement et promotion), solidifying its position in the French kitchen franchise market. The SEIP Group, headquartered in Bettembourg, Luxembourg, encompasses well-known sales channels such as Ecocuisine, Möbel cuisine, and Novo cuisine.

Once formal requirements are met, Nobilia will become a shareholder in the French kitchen distribution network ECOCUISINE, alongside the François family. This move reinforces the longstanding and successful collaboration between Nobilia and ECOCUISINE, which originated with the opening of the first store by the François family in 2005. The family business expanded the ECOCUISINE concept through a brand licensing model in 2013, and today, with 110 stores across France, ECOCUISINE has established a strong presence nationally, closely collaborating with Nobilia as a supplier.

The strategic partnership aims to facilitate access to international markets and position ECOCUISINE licensees in France optimally for the future, with Nobilia as a partner and supplier. Olivier François, CEO and co-founder of ECOCUISINE, will continue to lead the development of ECOCUISINE as a managing partner, ensuring the continuation of the successful growth witnessed in recent years.

For Olivier François, this new investment structure allows his family business to "join a large European partner who shares our entrepreneurial values and growth objectives." The close collaboration with Nobilia as a historical partner has spanned two decades, making Nobilia's participation in ECOCUISINE a crucial foundation to accelerate their shared development.

For market leader Nobilia, the objective is to strengthen its strategic position in France and other international markets through an additional distribution channel. Dr. Lars M. Bopf, CEO of Nobilia, sees ECOCUISINE, with its modern "all-inclusive" concept, as an excellent complement to their existing and successful distribution networks in France. Additionally, the brand offers additional growth potential in other international markets. The collaboration is based on a longstanding and trusting relationship, shared values, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, reflecting the ethos of both family-oriented companies.
