After 24 years at Franke Industries, including 14 years as managing director, Markus Hodel will resign from the management of Franke Industries as of April 1, 2024. His successor will be Stefan Mecker, former managing director of Verwo CZ s.r.o., a Czech subsidiary of Verwo AG.

With Stefan Mecker as the new Managing Director of Franke Industries, a suitable successor to Markus Hodel was found at an early stage. The 63-year-old has decided to resign as Managing Director of Franke Industries as of April 1, 2024, but will continue to manage special projects. Markus Hodel joined the manufacturer of hot gas path components for industrial gas turbines and engines for the space and aerospace industry 24 years ago as a sales engineer and has been its managing director for the past 14 years. His successor is currently Managing Director of the Czech company Verwo CZ s.r.o. in Letiny. The company is part of Verwo AG and is a system provider for technologically complex industrial products and assemblies.
42-year-old Stefan Mecker is looking back on over 20 years of experience in the production and supply chain environment as well as in project management and engineering. He started his career at ABB, where he held various positions for 16 years. Stefan Mecker is a federally certified machine mechanic and design engineer HF. Moreover, he completed a postgraduate course in "Executive in Business" at the ABB School of Engineering.
