Fontanella marks the beginning of the collaboration between Quadrodesign and Finemateria

Italian bathroom manufacturer Quadrodesign presents Fontanella, a project that bears the signature of the Italian Studio Finemateria. Enrico Magistro, co-owner of Quadrodesign says: 'We have been collaborating with Finemateria for a few months now to define products that will become part of our proposal as accessories. We thought of them because we like their approach, a vision that we share and that has many points of contact with ours, which starts from the quest to create intense ideas, emotions and memory in relation to materials.'

"Fontanella" is a travelling filtered water dispenser commissioned by Quadrodesign and designed to accompany "Rooting/Radicarsi", the first festival of design and urban arts organised and hosted by Dopo? Space conceived as a relational device between the cultural centre and the neighbourhood hosting it: Corvetto in Milan.

This is how Finemateria describes it: 'Fontanella looks like a dynamic drinking water station, always ready to put itself at the service of people by moving with them to follow the busy schedule of events, talks and parties during the Festival. It is made entirely of steel and defined by a structure reduced to a minimum, characterised by an extreme formal synthesis capable of highlighting the technical and material qualities of the Quadrodesign branded products installed on it: above tap, knob and a hi-fi flavour drain grate, below each component is laid bare.'

Collaborating with Finemateria is also in keeping with the Quadrodesign's nature of approaching young names on the Italian creative scene. For years, the company has been marrying cultural projects.
