Evaluated by ADI's Permanent Design Observatory, Falmec's Monolith project enters the ADI Design Index 2023 volume. Monolith together with Light suction system are competing for the 2024 Compasso d'Oro Award, the world's most authoritative design award since 1954.
Developed in collaboration with Studio Ferriani, Monolith, transforms the shape of the extraction to become a functionally full equipped channel. Inside, the later ones hold everyday utensils, electrical and USB sockets, and optional accessories to experience the kitchen environment in complete comfort. Monolith also provides an ambient light system that gives a pleasant, suspended effect.
Light, on the other hand, is an island solution with a scenic effect, distinguished by lines that define its distinctive profile and an ultra-compact suction body made possible by Multi-Air technology. Multi-Air divides the suction power into multiple ultra-compact motors, usually distributed horizontally, for widespread suction with extremely reduced height. The kitchen hood is enclosed in the upper part by two smoked glass panels and two black satin aluminium profiles that integrate with the LED strips for a light that spreads along the entire lower perimeter of the two components.
