Vittorio Livi, designer and founder of Fiam Italia, speaks with Salone del Mobile Milano to share his achievements in the course of his work. To celebrate the 50th anniversary, they revisited the iconic Onda chair, which came about by chance when Livi stood on a glass sheet. This led to the creation of an entire collection and the inception of Fiam, the world's first company to produce curved glass furniture.
Livi has always welcomed collaborations with designers and has invited artists like Arnaldo Pomodoro and Gianni Colombo to create unique pieces. With a passion for his work, he remains actively involved in the company, seeing his sons as the future of the business. When questioned about retirement, Livi expresses his love for life and future plans, saying, 'They often ask me why I don't retire, but I cherish life. I have my life planned until I'm 105.'
