New Andreas Murkudis exhibition:

A dialogue between the colourful worlds of Muller Van Severen and Willem Cole

German retailer Andreas Murkudis presents a new exhibition at Store 77 in Berlin, where the colourful worlds of Belgian duo Muller Van Severen and Belgian artist Willem Cole meet. Opening on November 11 and running until January 13, this exhibition can be seen as an encounter, a meeting, a conversation.

Chairs, lamps, tables, shelves and rugs by the Belgian design duo will be shown in conjunction with the concrete abstract drawings by contemporary artist Willem Cole, who will also show new mosaic rods for the first time.

Next to their mutual love for colour and research, Muller Van Severen and Willem Cole are also constantly flirting with the boundary between art and design. While Muller Van Severen’s designs appear to be created almost intuitively and with total effortlessness, the art of Willem Cole, based on three basic colours with more or less white space in between, demonstrates how a manifold of varieties can emerge out of utterly limited set of basic differences.

'We’re really excited for this new show at Andreas Murkudis. Andreas was one of the first believers of our work, which created a deep bond. We had our first show in Berlin with him in 2014 and we did some great shows together ever since', says Fien Muller from Muller Van Severen.
