Zucchetti at Alberto Meda exhibition with Medameda collection

An exhibition dedicated to Alberto Meda, renowned Italian designer, has opened in Milan at the Triennale. Zucchetti is a partner of the event and is on display with Medameda, the taps collection designed together with his son Francesco.

The exhibition presents 40 years of activity of the Italian engineer, designer and planner, with projects, photographs, prototypes, drawings and unpublished materials, that follow the main themes of his compositional poetics: the search for visual and constructive lightness through mechanical exercises, tension and suspension, attention to the integration of functions, technology and materials, the use of light and the evolved concept of comfort.

Medameda, designed by Alberto and Francesco Meda, is a collection with organic, flowing lines and reflects the interaction between the two generations of designers, father and son, that created it.

'We try to come up with objects with simple, unified style; objects that aren't too loud', stated the designers. 'We avoid formal extravagance in favour of special attention to effective relationships between the different components of the items and then between the items and those who use them.'

The exhibition, Alberto Meda. Tensione e leggerezza, runs until the 7th of January next year.
