Bosnian design company Artisan is renowned for its furniture design and quality craftsmanship. Handmade from six species of solid timber, Artisan pieces are produced by craftsmen in a large Bosnian factory surrounded by dense forest.
The once old-school woodwork shop with a 60-year history of producing fine timber products was transformed into the modern and technologically advanced facility that it is today. Through its collections, as well as individual pieces, the company offers a wide range of furniture, such as seating, tables, sideboards, beds, lamps.

Artisan uses solid wood from renewable resources in its production. It also uses environmentally-friendly materials for the treatment of the wood: natural oils and wax that emphasise the luxurious and organic beauty of wood texture and that enable it to 'breathe' naturally. This emphasises the natural colour diversity, while the use of harmful chemical substances for wood treatment is avoided by using vinyl-based glue.
The company insists that, at the end of the production process, the furniture that adorns clients' living environment is as natural as the wood from which it has originated. Its plant and its artisans are equipped and trained to offer designers as much freedom and options as possible in order for them to realise their vision.
Furthermore, the company encourages the designers to create each piece with their own artistic signature, insisting that every such piece is worthy of the precious material it was made from, thus conveying its philosophy of love of wood.
