Halten by Sebastian Herkner

&Tradition introduces a side table designed with a mobile character

When German designer Sebastian Herkner set out to design Halten, he was intent on creating a portable side table to pair with virtually any armchair, sofa or pouf. The solution took shape in a simple, linear structure featuring a handle, making it easy to bring it with you wherever is needed.

Halten is the German word for "hold, stay and last", a name that conveys the idea of creating a moment of pause wherever the side table is positioned. Sturdy yet moveable, strong yet light, each element is a deliberate decision to ensure a sense of coherence. Reflecting Herkner's impeccable eye for detail and dimension. His affinity for form. And appreciation of precious materials.

"I see Halten very much like a companion," explains Herkner. "Wherever you go you in a home or hospitality setting, you can easily take Halten with you and it will stand by your side, ready when you need it"

Measuring the perfect height for the average sofa or in combination with other side tables and coffee tables, Halten is poised to be its partner. The tabletops are available in an elegant and earthy Verde Guatemala Marble or Smoked Cast Glass, paired with either Polished Stainless Steel or Warm Black, Powder-Coated Steel for the structure.
